heyyy same anon btw! and yes, i have just discovered you. im asking these questions out of curiosity and im trying to find where i stand under the âpro-fictionâ umbrella. im sorry if im coming off as rude or annoying. im simply curious and on a journey of self discovery :3. as for your last response, is there any evidence to back up your claims? is there proof that consuming media containing underaged characters doesnât effect people in real life? its not exactly a black and white topic i believe. and in some cases its even illegal! but im starting to not care unless there is am active victim being harmed. like i dont want a callout post about someone whos into feral or cub art and theres not anyone being hurt. because who cares! but then again its so looked down upon. its confusing.
dw i donât think youâre coming off as rude i appreciate your just trying to learn! i agree that this topic is nuanced but basically the idea that loli art alone will cause people to abuse real children follows the exact logic of âviolent video games cause real violenceâ, which has been scientifically proven to be untrue. i donât agree that any art should be illegal regardless of the subject matter, legality doesnât equal morality. in the past few years thereâs been a huge uprise in puritan ideology amongst young adults thatâs causing more moral panic over taboo artwork, which is concerning and understandably makes these conversations tough to navigate. i appreciate you being open minded but you donât have to worry about pro-whatever labes :3

hiii, im the anon from earlier. connecting to the loli questionâ doesnt it promote harmful thoughts and actions towards real children? and is it not morally wrong? but the fact no one is actively being harmed still makes it somewhat tolerable. but again a lot a people parade with the fact they like underaged fictional characters, as if its something to be proud of. is it? im genuinely asking! :)
itâs kinds funny that i can tell youâve only recently come across me lol, simply putting it, no, consuming fiction about anything doesnât inherently cause or âpromoteâ harmful actions unless youâre a child or otherwise genuinely struggle to differentiate fiction and reality. all attractions are morally neutral, especially fictional ones.

im most active on bluesky now i think, being in 18+ spaces tends to help talking about para stuff, also i rarely use hashtags outside of just tagging my art

literally anything! im so happy with any questions about my ocs, while i do update their bios on my refsheet pretty frequently i forget im allowed to just talk about them whenever i want. although i do appreciate when ppl ask me questions i donât think of, it helps me to think about my characters from a different perspective :3

not lgbtq necessarily, however if someone identifies as queer because of their paraphilia i have nothing against that

hey! do you think people with paras should seek help? or is it okay for them to just live with themselves like that
depends on the person and the para, all attractions can be considered paraphilias so obviously having one on itâs own doesnât mean you need therapy, id say you only need therapy specifically for your para if you either, have genuine urges to act on an attraction that the subject of your attraction doesnât/canât consent to (map/zoo/necro ect), or if youâre attraction causes you distress in any way. however if you look for therapy for the former look at the laws in your state/country, even if you havenât/wonât commit an actual crime, if youâre therapist has reasonable suspicion to think you will then they could be allowed to contact authorities, thatâs not something i agree with as it stops a lot of people getting the help they need
